Our services:

Absolute ¹⁴C dating of plant macrofossils, charred grains, wood, charcoal, bones, burnt bones, molluscs, foraminifera, sediments etc. (in close collaboration with Uppsala Tandem Laboratory). Close collaboration with the Laboratory for Wood Anatomy and Dendrochronology regarding sampling strategies and pre-treatment methods. Continuous development of calibration and chronologies. User support for project design, sampling and interpretation of results including ¹⁴C calibration, and assessment of sample and result quality.

Our equipment:

• Sample preparation laboratory with modern automated equipment for graphitization (AGE-3).
• ¹⁴C measurements performed with accelerator mass spectrometers available in the laboratory (SSAMS) and at Uppsala Tandem Laboratory (MICADAS)
