Our services:
DARKLab, the Lund University Digital Archaeology Laboratory, together with the Lund School of Aviation / Department for Aviation and Aeronautical Sciences at LTH, provides expertise in digital archaeology, spatial documentation, 3D visualisation, remote sensing, and aerial survey methods.
Within ArchLab, we support archaeological and cultural heritage projects through high-resolution 3D recording, 3D GIS, photogrammetry, structured-light and terrestrial laser scanning, drone-based survey, lidar, and the processing and interpretation of spatial data. These services can be used for the documentation of archaeological sites, monuments, architecture, cultural landscapes, and fieldwork contexts.
The collaboration combines DARKLab’s expertise in archaeological recording, 3D modelling, spatial analysis, and visualisation with the UAS Lab’s expertise in drone platforms, aerial sensors, autonomous flight systems, and applied research in unmanned aerial systems. This makes it possible to support projects from field documentation and data acquisition to post-processing, spatial analysis, interpretation, and visual communication.
